Privacy

What this site does with your data.

Short version: this is a static website. It sets no cookies unless you accept analytics, it has no login, and it never sells anything about you.

Cookies

Nothing is stored on your device until you choose it.

We use no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no cross-site profiling. There is no cookie that is required for the site to work, because there is nothing here to log into.

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies in order to tell a returning visit from a new one. If you decline, or if you never answer, no analytics cookie is set and no Google script is loaded at all.

Your answer itself is remembered in your browser's local storage, under rmeta-analytics-consent, so that we do not ask again on every page. That entry stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.

Analytics

If, and only if, you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which parts of this site people actually read.

Anything you send us.

Two things on this site take information from you, and neither of them works the way people usually assume.

Changing your mind.

You can withdraw consent at any time, and it takes effect immediately.

Use the cookie settings link in the footer of any page, or the link in the cookies section above. Declining stops analytics from recording anything further.

Clearing cookies for this site in your browser settings removes any Google Analytics cookie already stored. Clearing site data also removes our record of your answer, so you will be asked again on your next visit.

If you would rather block Google Analytics everywhere rather than just here, Google publishes a browser add-on that does exactly that.

Who is asking

This site is run for the Rocky Mountain ETA Conference, which is organised by the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business, together with the Denver ETA Meetup and five other regional universities.

Questions about this page, or about anything held about you, go to deming@colorado.edu.

If we change how any of this works, we will change this page with it.
